Linda Dixon-Smith reported seeing a large, reddish-haired figure near Shaver Lake, California, while driving her grandson to work on June 28. She submitted the account to BFRO on July 1, describing a stationary figure in a clearing beside the road.

The published report includes investigator Matthew Moneymaker’s interview notes and photographs of the area. Dixon-Smith said she returned to check whether a stump could explain what she had seen. The record documents her account and follow-up, rather than a photograph of the figure itself.
